Sweet and Simple Father’s Day Ideas

Before I had children, I could be counted upon to remember birthdays, anniversaries, and minor holidays with impressive accuracy and punctuality. However, after birthing two babies, transitioning to full-time mommy and homemaker, and never fully recovering from “baby brain,” my loved ones are fortunate to receive timely acknowledgements of their special days.

Ironically, now that the Hubs and I are parents, it’s events like Father’s Day that often catch me off-guard. Sad but true.

It’s not that I miss them completely; I’m just not great at producing elaborate, thoughtful gifts that require much advance planning.

If you’re skilled (or at least intentional) in this area, that’s fantastic. I will follow you and your holiday boards on Pinterest.

If you’re more like me, read on.

With Father’s Day just around the corner and nary a present purchased, I am turning to simple yet sweet ways of expressing our family’s love and appreciation for Daddy.

I’ve decided that no big expenditures needed, just thoughtful ideas that communicate, “Our family wouldn’t be the same without you. Thanks for all you do. We love you.”
