Day 20 :: Hospitality Revisited

T
his weekend brings me to the home of some beloved friends.  In college, I did my laundry at their house and helped decorate their Christmas tree.  When Hubs wasn’t quite Hubs, they did our premarital counseling.

They welcomed me into their home and lives.  They gave me hugs and asked questions about my family.  They offered pizza and marriage wisdom.

It was never fancy, but it was always genuine.

They simply offered love and met practical needs–which is a great recipe for hospitality.

And so I remind you–and myself–today that hospitality need not be more than offering warm hug and a slice of pizza.  Both can go a long way.

This is a post from a 31-day series on Real, Simple Hospitality.  Read all the other posts here.  Check out all the other 31 Day-ers here.
